Corning® NutriStem® hPSC XF Medium
Support hiPS and hES growth and expansion in a feeder-free environment with NutriStem hPSC XG Medium from Corning.
Enhance the single-cell culture of human induced pluripotent stem (hiPS) and human embryonic stem (hES) cells in a defined, xeno- and serum-free environment. Without the need for high levels of bFGF and other stimulatory growth factors or cytokines, low-protein NutriStem medium contains only the most essential components required for successful hiPSC and hESC maintenance, growth, and downstream differentiation.
Complete and ready-to-use, NutriStem provides a simplified medium for consistent performance, as well as increased reproducibility in hPSC long-term culture.

Corning® Matrigel® hESC-Qualified Matrix, *LDEV-Free
Corning Matrigel matrix is a solubilized basement membrane preparation extracted from the Engelbreth-Holm-Swarm (EHS) mouse sarcoma, a tumor rich in extracellular matrix proteins, including Laminin (a major component), Collagen IV, heparin sulfate proteoglycans, entactin/nidogen, and a number of growth factors.
Quality:
- Mouse colonies routinely screened for pathogens via Mouse Antibody Production (MAP) testing
- Extensive PCR testing is performed to screen for a number of pathogens
- Tested and found negative for bacteria, fungi, and mycoplasma
- Protein concentrations determined by Lowry method
- Endotoxin units measured by Limulus Amoebocyte Lysate assay
- Matrigel Matrix gel stability is tested for a period of 14 days at 37°C
- Biological activity is determined for each lot using a neurite outgrowth assay.
Preparation and Storage:
Store at -20°C. Avoid multiple freeze-thaws.
Guidelines for Use:

Corning® Laminin Surface
Enable the study of specific mechanisms that dictate cell differentiation and functionality with Corning Laminin surfaces.
Use Corning Laminin surfaces as a thin coating on tissue culture surfaces or as a soluble additive to culture medium to promote cell adhesion, migration, chemotaxis, growth, and differentiation. Laminin/Entactin Complex High Concentration (HC) is a special formulation that Corning has developed to enhance three-dimensional (3D) cell culture applications. Culturing cells in or on gels such as Laminin/Entactin Complex enable the study of specific mechanisms that dictate cell differentiation and functionality.
Applications include:
- Promotion of neurite outgrowth
- Reduction of fibroblast migration in neuronal cell cultures
- Neural crest cell attachment
- Gene expression in rat cortical neurons
- Maintenance of undifferentiated pluripotent stem cells
Corning® rLaminin-521
Corning rLaminin-521 (Human) is a heterotrimer composed of α5, β2, and γ1 chains expressed in a mammalian cell culture system. rLaminin-521 (Human) supports long-term self-renewal of human pluripotent stem cells (hPSC), including embryonic stem cells (hESC) and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) in defined and xeno-free environments. rLaminin-521 provides additional benefits, including ROCK inhibitor independent single cell expansion of PSCs, which improves hPSC culture ease and efficiency.
Features:
- Recombinant protein
- Easy to self-coat
- Available in 0.1 mg aliquots for easy handling
- Compatible with multiple hPSC culture media and dissociation reagents
- Supports undifferentiated expansion of hPSC
- Suitable for xeno-free, defined culture environment
