Mouse IgG2b Isotype Control, FITC, Invitrogen™
Mouse Isotype Control
Brand: Invitrogen PA533225
Description
PA5-33225 is a mouse IgG2b monoclonal antibody arising from a spontaneous mouse plasmacytoma. The antibody does not react with any human cell surface markers, and may therefore be used as an isotype matched negative control reagent to assess the level of non-specific binding of mouse IgG2b monoclonal antibodies in human cells. PA5-33225 is also suitable for use as a negative control with bovine, sheep, pig, canine, rat and guinea-pig tissues. For FACS analysis, use 10 μL of the suggested working dilution to label 1x10^6 cells in 100 μL. Mouse IgG2b Negative Control is negative on all human cells and cell lines tested. This antibody recognizes a rat cell surface marker, and therefore cannot be used as a negative control in this species. Test results show that MCA691C is also suitable for use as a negative control with bovine, ovine, porcine, canine and guinea-pig tissues.
Mouse IgG2b is a subtype of immunoglobulin G antibody that is produced by B cells in response to an antigen. It is the third most abundant IgG subtype in the serum and plays a crucial role in the adaptive immune response. Mouse IgG2b is composed of two heavy chains and two light chains, and it is involved in opsonization, complement activation, and antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity. It is also involved in the regulation of immune responses, including the activation of T cells and the inhibition of B cell activation. Mouse IgG2b is widely used in research and diagnostic applications, including ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry. It is also used in therapeutic applications, such as immunotherapy and vaccine development.Specifications
