mirVana™ miRNA Inhibitor Negative Control #1
mirVana™ miRNA Inhibitor Negative Control #1 is intended for use as a negative control for experiments using mirVana™ miRNA Inhibitors. Transfect this negative control using the same methodology as for your positive control (such as let-7c Positive Control) and experimental mirVana™ miRNA Inhibitors. Use target expression from negative control-transfected samples as a baseline for evaluation of the effect of the control and experimental miRNA inhibitor on target gene expression.
First Generation Inhibitor Controls
Our first-generation miRNA inhibitors (and controls), Ambion™ Anti-miR™ miRNA Inhibitors, have lower specificity and potency, plus a lower strand specificity compared to the new mirVana™ miRNA Inhibitors. These first-generation inhibitors are recommended for completing ongoing in vitro miRNA studies. For new studies or in vivo studies, we highly recommend our new mirVana™ miRNA Inhibitors and their corresponding controls.
